We had a wonderful time celebrating Chinese New Year at HETTY.
The children ate prawn crackers and noodles for snack. We watched a film about two children from Liverpool who were celebrating in their traditional costume and watching the parade in Chinatown. We found out how important the colours red and gold are to the Chinese community and we hunted around the school for things that were red or gold. We even watched how Peppa Pig celebrated Chinese New Year!
We paraded around the school with our very own dragon banging musical instruments and shouting ‘Gung Hey Fat Choy!’ to all the school children.
Here are some pictures of the fun we have had.
