Our Story

HETTY Preschool is a registered charity that has been supporting children and families within the Hoole community since opening in 2007.

HETTY was established to meet the needs of local families by providing a wider range of high-quality, accessible childcare. Our provision includes preschool, breakfast care, after-school care and holiday care, allowing us to support children and their families throughout the year.

Since HETTY first opened its doors, our team has worked wholeheartedly to provide children with the highest standards of care and early education. We offer a happy, nurturing and stimulating play environment where every child is recognised as an individual and supported to develop to their full potential.

Our dedicated team consists of experienced, highly trained and qualified early-years professionals who are passionate about giving children the very best start in life. Through warm and secure relationships, purposeful play and carefully planned experiences, we help children develop their confidence, independence, communication, curiosity and love of learning.

Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We welcome children from all backgrounds and work closely with parents, carers and other professionals to ensure each child receives the understanding, encouragement and individual support they need to flourish.

We have very close links with Hoole Church of England Primary School. This strong partnership helps children become familiar with the school environment and supports a smooth, positive transition when they are ready to begin the next stage of their education.

As a charity, HETTY is overseen by a dedicated board of governors. They help guide the development of the setting and ensure that the needs of our children, families and wider community remain central to everything we do.

Although HETTY has grown and developed since 2007, our purpose has remained the same: to provide trusted, nurturing and inclusive childcare where children feel safe, valued and inspired to play, learn, belong and flourish.
