Our Mission Statement

At HETTY Preschool, we take pride in our child-centred approach to learning, which encourages and enables every child to be who they are meant to be, irrespective of gender, age, faith or ability.

Our curriculum builds on each child’s previous learning and experiences, enabling every child to achieve their full potential, whatever their starting point.

We inspire, support and model outstanding practice in our early years setting. We encourage our children to develop inquisitive minds and a love of learning. We inspire them to be curious about the world in which they live and to feel secure and confident in who they are, with a strong sense of physical, mental and emotional well-being.

We promote curiosity and independence in our children. We equip them with the skills, knowledge and confidence to question, explore and solve problems. We support them in developing emotional well-being and resilience, encouraging them to make informed choices and remain open to new ideas and ways of thinking.

We use a range of teaching approaches which enable children to learn in ways that reflect their individual needs, interests and stages of development.

We recognise that every child is unique and deserves to feel happy, safe, secure and included. Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do at HETTY. We work closely with parents, carers and other professionals to understand each child’s individual needs, remove any barriers to learning and make appropriate adjustments.

Through strong partnerships with parents and carers, we create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, develops a strong sense of belonging and receives the support they need to learn, develop and flourish.
