Our mission statement

At HETTY Preschool, we take pride in our child centred approach to learning which encourages and allows each child to be who they are meant to be irrespective of gender, age, faith or ability.

We will coach, motivate and model outstanding practice in our early years setting.

We encourage our children to have inquisitive minds and we aim to enthuse them in their learning. We strive to make them curious about the world in which they live and secure in the person they are with a sense of physical, mental and emotional well-being.

We endeavour to promote curiosity and independence in our children. We equip them with the skills, knowledge and a questioning approach that will enable problem solving, emotional stability and resilience through their lives, encouraging them to make informed decisions and adopt an openness to new thinking and ideas.

We use a range of teaching styles which enable the children to find a way that suits them thus allowing them to learn in their own individual way. We recognise that each child is unique and to this effect we encourage them to feel confident, happy, safe and secure as they start this part of their journey in education.

Inclusion is at the heart of HETTY. We identify and remove barriers to learning and well-being, making reasonable adjustments and working closely with families and professionals so that every child feels valued, belongs and receives the individual support they need to thrive.
