Afterschool Care

After-School Care

Our After-School Club runs from the end of the school day at approximately 3.10pm until 5.45pm.

Children are safely collected from school and welcomed into HETTY. We understand that children may need time to relax after a busy day, so they can choose how they spend their time.

Activities may include:

  • Arts, crafts and creative activities
  • Construction and imaginative play
  • Board games, puzzles and books
  • Outdoor and physical play
  • Child-led activities based on children’s interests
  • Quiet spaces for resting and relaxing
  • Opportunities to socialise with friends

A snack is served between approximately 3.30pm and 4pm. We encourage children to develop independence and make appropriate choices while promoting healthy eating and positive social experiences.

After-School Club Prices

  • Regularly booked session: £11
  • Ad-hoc session: £12
  • 5% sibling discount

Booking a Place

All sessions must be booked in advance, including ad-hoc places. Ad-hoc care is not a drop-in service and places are subject to availability and appropriate staffing levels.

Regular bookings help us plan staffing and maintain the required ratios. Please contact HETTY in advance to check availability and reserve your child’s place.

Parents and carers should tell us as soon as possible if their child will not be attending a booked session.

Keeping Children Safe

Children’s safety and wellbeing are always our priority. Our established safeguarding procedures remain in place throughout wraparound care.

Children will only be released to an authorised adult. Parents and carers must inform us in advance if somebody different will be collecting their child. We must also be kept informed of any changes to emergency contacts, medical needs, allergies or collection arrangements.

Working With Families

We aim to make wraparound care as easy and reassuring as possible for children and their families. Please speak to a member of the HETTY team if your child has any additional needs, worries or changes in circumstances that may affect them. This helps us provide consistent and appropriate support throughout their time with us.
