Holiday Care
Holiday Care
HETTY offers welcoming and enjoyable holiday care during selected school holidays and INSET days. Our Holiday Club provides children with a safe and familiar place to relax, play, explore and spend time with friends while school is closed.
Holiday-care dates are arranged according to demand and staffing availability. The service may not operate during every school holiday, so places must always be confirmed in advance.
A Fun and Flexible Day
Our Holiday Care is less structured than a typical school day, allowing children plenty of time to choose activities that reflect their interests. Our experienced team plans a varied programme, which may include:
- Arts, crafts and messy play
- Outdoor games and physical activities
- Construction and imaginative play
- Cooking and baking
- Stories, games and puzzles
- Seasonal and themed activities
- Local walks or special events
- Quiet spaces for children who want to relax
- Child-led activities and opportunities to spend time with friends
Activities may change according to the children attending, their interests, the weather and the length of the session.
Food and Drink
Parents and carers should provide their child with a named packed lunch and drinks bottle. Please do not include nuts or products containing nuts.
We will provide snacks and drinks during the day. Parents must inform us about all allergies, intolerances, cultural requirements and other dietary needs before their child attends.
Booking a Place
All sessions must be booked in advance, including ad-hoc places. Ad-hoc care is not a drop-in service and places are subject to availability and appropriate staffing levels.
Regular bookings help us plan staffing and maintain the required ratios. Please contact HETTY in advance to check availability and reserve your child’s place.
Parents and carers should tell us as soon as possible if their child will not be attending a booked session.

Booking early is recommended, as spaces may be limited. A place is not secured until it has been confirmed by HETTY.
Parents and carers should tell us as soon as possible if their child will not be attending a booked session. Please refer to our booking terms for information about cancellations and charges.
What Your Child Should Bring
Please ensure that everything is clearly labelled with your child’s name. Children should bring:
- A named packed lunch
- A named drinks bottle
- Suitable clothing for indoor and outdoor play
- A waterproof coat
- Sun protection during warmer weather
- Any essential medication agreed with HETTY in advance
- Spare clothing where appropriate
Children should wear comfortable clothes and shoes that are suitable for active and messy play.
Keeping Children Safe
Children’s safety and wellbeing remain our priority throughout Holiday Club. Our usual safeguarding, first-aid, medication and collection procedures continue to apply.
Children will only be released to an authorised adult. Parents and carers must inform us in advance if somebody different will be collecting their child and ensure that emergency contact and medical information remains up to date.
Supporting Every Child
Please speak to us before booking if your child has additional needs, medical requirements, allergies or may need extra support. This allows us to work with you, plan appropriately and ensure that we can safely meet your child’s needs.
For upcoming dates, session times, prices and availability, please contact the HETTY team.
