We make our snack and meal times social times where children and adults eat together. We love to sit and chat with the children and to encourage them to talk with each other too.
Our snacks during the school day usually consist of fruit, with milk or water. We plan the menus for snacks so that they provide the children with healthy and nutritious food. We will sometimes have other food too depending on any celebrations that we might have, for example noodles at Chinese New Year, hot cross buns at Easter, pancakes on Shrove Tuesday or birthday cake if someone brings one in! Do tell us about your child’s dietary needs and we will make sure that these are met.
For children joining the lunch club, parents are asked to support the school by providing a healthy meal in a lunch box which incorporates an ice pack to keep food chilled. However, in term time, children can have a school meal at an extra cost.
