At a morning session, we will normally follow a programme like this:
| 8.45 am | Welcome and free play |
| 9.05 am | “Say hello” time in key groups |
| 9.15 am | Child initiated activities – inside and outside |
| 10.00 am | Key groups take it in turns to snack in a smaller room while activities carry on in the rest of the setting |
| 10.55 am | Tidy up time |
| 11.05 am | Adult initiated phonics time in ability groups |
| 11.25 am | Story/group time in Key Worker’s groups |
| 11.40 am | Coats to go home and hand washing for lunch |
| 11.45 am | Home time and lunch time |
There is a similar plan for our afternoon sessions.
